Dr. Sara Jurney is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and joined Complete Women’s Care Center in 2005. She graduated from Tarleton State University in 1995 with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. After attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston in 2004.

During medical school, Dr Jurney was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. In 2001, she was the recipient of the Outstanding Intern of the Year award, and she received an award for excellence in laparoscopic surgery in 2004. She was also honored in H Texas Magazine as one of Houston's "Top Doctors" in 2011 and 2012 and was named a "Texas Super Doctor's Rising Star" by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2012. She has also received the "Patient's Choice" and "Compassionate Doctor" award several years in a row based on positive online reviews.

In December 2007 Dr. Jurney was voted as Memorial Hermann Hospital's Physician of the Year, a prestigious award which is determined by hospital employees. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, which allows a less painful recovery and quicker return to normal activities.

Dr. Jurney is on staff at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.

Dr. Jurney enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys when she is not at the office.
