Dr. Sara Jurney is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
and joined Complete Women’s Care Center in 2005. She graduated
from Tarleton State University in 1995 with a B.S. in Biology and
minor in Chemistry. After attending medical school at the University
of Texas Medical School in Houston, she completed her residency
training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital
in Houston in 2004. She began practicing on the north
side of Houston in the Willowbrook area and is relocated back to the Medical Center in 2005.
During medical school, Dr Jurney was elected to the Alpha Omega
Alpha national medical honor society. In 2001, she was the recipient
of the Outstanding Intern of the Year award, and she received an award
for excellence in laparoscopic surgery in 2004.
In December 2007 Dr. Jurney was voted as Memorial Hermann Hospital's Physician of the Year,
a prestigious award which is determined by hospital employees.
She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, which allows a
less painful recovery and quicker return to normal activities.
Dr. Jurney is on staff at Memorial Hermann (obstetrics and gynecology) and St. Luke’s hospitals (gynecology
only) and is a clinical instructor at the University of Texas medical school.
Dr. Jurney’s interests include gardening, cooking, and spending time
with her husband and new baby boy.
